Reservations

  to discuss availability dates and to allow us to help you plan your vacation.
• Forms, such as our charter contract, boating resume, and float plan, will be e-mailed to you. When they are completed and returned to us along with a 25% deposit, we will confirm your reservation.

Payment/deposit

• A 25% deposit is due at the time of booking.
• A second 25% deposit is due at least 30 days prior to charter start date.
• Balance of payment is due on charter start date. (A check or credit card is acceptable for deposits, however, credit card only for balance paid on charter start date.)

Cancellation

• If your cancellation is more than 30 days from charter start date, we can reschedule your trip for another time with no penalty, OR we can return your deposit, less a $100 cancellation fee.
• If your cancellation is less than 30 days from charter start date, the entire deposit will be forfeited.

Security Deposit

• A $500 security deposit must be paid at the start of the charter. This can be paid in cash or a temporary hold on your credit card (no checks).
• It will be returned to you within 10 days, pending a satisfactory inspection of the yacht. Any expenses for damages or cleaning, or for costs for operating expenses (see below) will be deducted from your deposit.

Operating Expenses

• All operating expenses, including fuel and pump-out are the responsibility of the charterer. Please return the yacht with a full fuel tank and empty holding tank.
• Duneshore Marine can perform these duties for you if you prefer, for a fee of $20 plus the cost of the fuel.

Boarding

• Charter begins at 9:00 a.m. on the charter start date. At that time we will meet you at the yacht for payment of balance due plus the security deposit.
• Yacht briefing will begin at the charter start time, and involves the completion of the inventory checklist, a review of the boat’s systems, and if you have not sailed with us before, an on-the-water check-out. The time needed for briefing varies, depending on the captain’s experience, and the complexity of the boat. We will take as much time as needed.
• Courtesy boarding after 5:00 p.m. on the night prior to your start date will be allowed at no charge if all documents and payments have been received, and if the boat is available at that time. Please check with us prior to your arrival. This is a good time to familiarize yourself with the boat and complete the inventory checklist, saving time the next day. The boat may not leave the slip until after the yacht briefing on your departure date.

Returning

• Charters end at 5:00 p.m. on the last day of your charter. At that time, the yacht should be emptied of your belongings, cleaned, and ready for inspection, so please allow yourself enough time by returning to the dock early.
• Additional overnight accommodation is available for a fee of $100 if the yacht is not in use the next day. You will still be required to return the boat to its slip by 5:00 p.m. on the last day of your scheduled charter. Check-off time will be 9:30 a.m.

Restricted Use

• Drug use or possession of illegal drugs is strictly prohibited.
• Operating the yacht under the influence of alcohol is prohibited.
• Maximum yacht capacity is limited to the number of berths.
• No pets.
• No smoking anywhere on the yacht.
